Uncle, those photos are amazing. I had no idea, it looks like Paris with a bit of Madrid thrown in. All those lovely Neoclassical buildings, very grand and yet so elegant. I also like the English house, it looks like something from the Arts&Crafts movement.
Lovely wide avenues, very French. And I love bonbon box-like theaters! We don't have those in Amsterdam, we're too Calvinistic...
Together with what you told me about Argentina, Buenos Aires it is now definitely on my "go-to-list"!

I,m glad u lke them-
That English-Style house is in fact one of the thousands English Style cottages in the area where I live- My house is Italian Style: built in 1896, but all the "north zone" where I live , were, once, where the English, Irish, Scottish made their homes- All north zone is so like an English village that many English movies were shot here !!!!- haha- Big English Style houses ( Tudor, Elizabeth Styles, etc) with big gardens, trees... lovely place to live & see- I,m going to search pics from that zone, so I can post them here- uncle. PS: the Avenues & the squares were designed by a French Artist-

Carlos, thanks for giving me some suggestions for books about your interesting country. I checked the library catalogue, but no such books. I will just go down there next week and check out the south american history and travel section.
