You are welcome, David! I love both Bogart and Grahame, so I really like this film.

I had watched on TCM the 4 hour restored version of Erich Von Stroheim's 1924 silent film "Greed".
Today I found it (in 4 parts) on You Tube:

"The Phantom Carriage" (1921) - excellent Swedish silent film, with ghosts and fantasy elements. Plot has theme in common with Dickens' "A Christmas Carol". Interesting early special effects, and a brutal scene similar to one found in Kubrick's "The Shining" .
