It sound very Psycho-ie to me especially the

OK, so we now have the following clues:

- Nobody cares about her except two men: totally different from each other.
- They seems to hate each other, but both are absolutely in love.
- Her husband is very jealous.
- A doctor really cares about her, also. He is a good man, in spite of....MMMMM
- "a mother is her son,s best friend" so they say...
- People doesn,t have too much respect for her.
- In her past.. she was something like a "lost-girl".... ;)
- But he loves her.
- She is very beautiful, and much younger than he.
- He saves her when she was in danger.

It isn't Marny, Rebecca, Vertigo, Rear Window or Jane Eyre.

Like Bethany says, the clue about the mother sounds very Psycho, but the rest doesn't... so I'm going for Under Capricorn.

OH DEAR GOD !!!!- Since I saw that film I am totally unable to take a shower with the shower-curtain closed !!!!!- Happily I live alone!!!!- Once I stayed at a friend,s house and I told her to SIT IN THE BATHROOM , near me, while I took the shower, as I had to close the curtain !!- And I was asking every 5 seconds: "Lully, are you there?" Isn,t that awful????- :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

Moon, Moon... I began to wonder IF you saw this super-classic film !!!!- Forget about the 50,s, it,s from the 40,s !!!!!-
I don,t know if I can give more clues without giving you the name!!!!-
- The male-Star made at least 3 more films with Hitch....
- The female-Star made at least 2 more films with him !!!!-

Psycho is a very weird film but I enjoyed it alot, I have always liked horror films because that's what my brother always watches, and this was kind of the first slasher films!

Mrs Bates?....

If I ever came across a motel like the Bates Motel I would be running !!!!

I've seen the most famous scenes (the shower and the discovery of the mother) but I haven't watched the whole film yet. I should, but there are always other films that I'd rather watch...

Oooooo, never watched it?!?!?! :o :lol: It's such a good thriller!

Cary G. and Ingrid B. have chemistry and are good, but Claude R. is absolutely brilliant!!! The cinematography is beautiful and in 1946 it must have been quite a shocker that the film makes you feel sorry for a Nazi.
