I,m SO happy-I can see my VHS again!
WOOPEEEE !!!!- Ages without using my VHS player and today (trembling) I put it: IT WORKS perfectly well !!!!!- So, I have more than 2.500 classics AND Movie documentals !!!!- For example:
- EVERY Oscar ceremony since 1986 to 2004, (many classic Stars presenting Oscars)
- All the HIstory of Movies, from silent to today,s. A LOT of documentals !!
- Silent films.(from 1895 when Cinema was invented to 1927 when sound arrives)
- Classics that I couln,t find anywhere.
- Biographies from EVERY Star- MANY different bios-
. ALL my interviews about my GWTW collection.
- Hollywood "shows" & homages: For example one from 1987 with ALL the Stars alive. Many more.
- History of Musicals, epics, comedies.....
- History of Hollywood Studios: MGM, Columbia, RKO, Paramount, and so on...
- History of "other countries" cinema: Italy, France, Argentina, Germany...
- All the news when the Stars died..
-History of great Hollywood couturiers...
- The Story of MANY films, ... GWTW of course!!
- Vivien Leigh documentals, EVEN when I was with her only child in London, as I passed it from Super 8 to Video.
- History of everything connected with Movies....
Well, I almost have everything, as I began tapping in 1983- When I had cable: 1992-2004 I recorded about 50 films per month !!!!
I WISH I was able to make DVD copies of ALL and send them to all of you !!!!- But... it,s rather impossible I guess-
I,m so happy !!!!- The other day I was able, again, to hear my old LP albums in a wonderful record music player I have, so... this is like Heaven to me !!!!-
The only thing I,m really sad is that you can,t see all of the things I have- I really am...
This is the only "dark-cloud" of today,s happiness, believe me- Uncle

Hi Uncle, really happy for you to be able to watch your collection again.
It's like finding a lost treasure.
And with 2500 things to rewatch you must be busy the next few weekends, haha!!!

HEHE- Yes dear Moon: tonight I,m going to see "Touch of Evil", 1958- I never saw it- There are so many films I have that I haven,t time to see it !!!-
And the best thing is that I (don,t ask me how) connected the music player to the VHS player, so I can hear the films in Stereo !!!
Touch of Evil seems to be a rough film !!: I saw the first minutes and a car exploded... etc- It was directed by Orson Welles, so..../ Also it have Charlton Heston & Janet Leigh, both I like very much-
So... after my trip to Mark,s place I,m going to enjoy this film- THANK YOU MY DEAR !!

I am so happy for you, Uncle! I have seen Touch of Evil and I thought it was good. It is a crime drama, so it is a little rough. I did like all of the actors - they did a good job.

Yes my dear niece: Last night I made some fried chicken, sat in my bed... and watched Touch Of Evil: you are right, a rough film- Incredibly enough it was made in 1958... when the code still existed....( think in the scenes in the Motel with Janet Leigh), and also Welles plays a "bad" cop....But I like it very much, especially Heston out-of-his-usual-parts role- A very good film with music from Henry Mancini- It makes me remember the films-noirs from the 40,s, except more "direct"- uncle
