I wanted to get these three films down before I left for work (yeah . . . that word still sounds strange coming out of my mouth). I watched:

Peggy (1950) with Charles Coburn and an early Rock Hudson (I found out this was his first film that he had an onscreen kiss, so I guess that's the biggest thing about it).

Blood on the Moon (1948) with Robert Mitchum and Barbara Bel Geddes. Now this film, I liked. I liked it a lot.

And finally (Nat, I think you're going to like this one): Arise, My Love (1940) with Ray Milland and Claudette Colbert. It's no wonder why you like this film so much, Natalie. It was AMAZING, and quite easily my favorite of the three films that I watched; when that torpedo went into the boat, I almost had a heart attack. I thought it was a submarine coming out of the water, so boy, was I shocked. I also know that I have a new top ten. I think I should redo that list now . . .

It really is. I downloaded it forever ago, but I finally got around to watching it last night and then finishing it up this morning before I went to work. Ray Milland was so handsome in it. I mean, really and truly, he was just gorgeous. He was funny, gorgeous, and adorable throughout the whole picture.

OH I know!!!!!!!!!! I felt the same way when I watched it! You couldn't help but love him... :romance-wub: :-D
My favorite was when she locked up her shoes and he sent her the telegram that said something like, "You can lock away your shoes but you can't lock up your heart." So super adorable!

Yes! One of my favorite things that he does is after Claudette visits his hotel room to get a picture, and Ray tells her about the gorgeous woman he is meeting, and he shows her out the door, he turns to go in his room and he's got this crazy adorable look on his face while he's just nodding his head away very satisfactorily. It's a little thing, but I couldn't help but to laugh; it was just too darn cute!

I'm don't usually watch those kinds of movies, me being more of a comedy person, but I really liked it and I was glued to the screen, not knowing what would happen... :D

I adore that movie! Perfect is right. :)

I watched another Ray Milland picture last night, and this time his costar was Dorothy Lamour in: The Jungle Princess (1936). It was a cute picture, I liked it. I also learned a very important lesson that everyone should make a note to themselves . . . don't make monkeys mad cause it sure ain't gonna be pretty when you do. ;)

Last night I stayed up to watch Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? and...wow. In the intro, Robert and the guest programmer were really talking the movie up. Shortly into the film, I thought about turning it off but I'm glad I didn't. The guest programmer, who is an actress herself, was talking about how everyone was just perfect in that movie. And...wow. Elizabeth Taylor was just amazing. I hated Martha and felt beyond horrible for George, but loved Elizabeth Taylor's performance much better than Richard Burton's. It was all so entrancing and the end...I was speechless. And that's only ever happened once before. If you can get ahold of this movie, please watch it! It is beyond amazing.
