I just finished watching a very sweet film entitled Journey for Margaret (1942) with Robert Young, Laraine Day, and, in her film debut, Margaret O'Brien. I read the novel that this film was based on a few months back, and I didn't like it at all. This is one of those rare occasions when the film was better than the novel.

Wow, this is a lot of money!

I woke up this morning to the beginning of Strangers On A Train with Robert Walker, Ruth Hussey and Farley Granger. Amazing movie every time I watch it, & I definitely recommend this to any fan of Noir!

Oh, I agree. An absolute masterpiece. Before I saw the movie I wanted to read the book so badly, but I couldn't find it so I saw the movie. Now I'm not sure I would read it because I know the plot already... But the movie is fantastic. :D

I just finished watching Father Is a Bachelor (1950) with William Holden. I don't know if William enjoyed making this film or not, it just doesn't seem like his type of film--though he did have a flare for comedy that I think went unnoticed for the most part--but I enjoyed watching him in it. Not the greatest movie by far, a 2.5/4 stars is what I'd give it, but it was fun to watch.

Just watched my first silent film... now I wasn't sure what to expect, but actually I didn't mind it at all! I really enjoyed it and I even got my brother watching it with me! It was Charlie Chaplin in 'The Kid" 1921. Well after that experience I must say I feel more... educated in the world of film
